We are currently recruiting for Group Managers to join our " New Team" in Rego Park, Queens.
Overview: Responsible for directing all daily activities in the merchandise area. This includes guiding the success of a multi-million dollar department by leading and motivating the selling team, managing the service environment and presenting a clean, neat and organized shopping environment for our guests.
Key Accountabilities:
Direct flow and placement of daily merchandise receipts
Execute merchandise presentation to department standards
Ensure replenishment of merchandise to drive service, sales and gross margin
Facilitate merchandise floor moves
Responsible for team member scheduling
Train, motivate and develop staff to achieve excellence in merchandise presentation, shortage control, departmental policies
Create a positive work environment that results in retention and turnover reduction
Monitor and address performance issues on a timely basis
Set the example for great service to our guests
Ensure all procedures, policies, exposure standards and shortage awareness are thoroughly understood
Reports to the Assistant Store Manager
Job Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of related retail management experience. Managing a large staff including is a huge plus!
Ability to empower and develop a team
Prior experience working with senior management
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
